Costs
How We Structure Engagements.
Transparently relaying our costs.
Our focus is on supporting our clients’ visions for the world and on adding ease and proactive strategy to business. This means we begin differently. We lead with deep dives and custom cost determinations; not generic hope-it-fits pricing packages.
We’re optimized for depth instead of scale. Meaningful work can only move at the speed of trust. This understanding is foundational in supporting our clients who are trying to drive positive change and business.
We bring budget conscientiousness, exceedingly competent workflows, secure environments, concierge experience, smooth collaboration with your tax pro, and forward looking scenario planning.
If this resonates, lets talk.
We Customize a Plan for You
We intentionally lead with human-forward nuance and custom scoped work instead of generic take-a-number packages:
Every business and leadership team is genuinely different.
Two $250K annual revenue businesses can have completely different bookkeeping needs. One might be a solo consultant with 25 simple transactions per month and straightforward workflows. Another might be an up and coming online education platform program, three owners, multiple point-of-sale systems, tuition accruals, payroll for their team, and 8 months of backlog.
Same revenue. Completely different work and workflows. Completely different needs.
Forcing a transactionalized price-list would put us in one of two bad positions:
Overcharge the simple business to account for worst-case complexity, or
Undercharge the complex business and deliver subpar service when we realize we can't afford to do the work properly.
Neither serves either of us well.
Here's what we do instead:
We begin with a human-forward conversation to test for fit in energetics, vision, and budget. If that feels right for both of us, we enter into a unilateral NDA (to give your business peace-of-mind that data is confidential,) and move into our full diagnostic on your current books. The insights generated from this multi-hour solid sitting on your current landscape is precisely what allows us to confidently scope any potential cleanup project and subsequent flat fee monthly costs.
The Human-first & Diagnostic approach benefits you because:
You get a clear and concise multi-page deliverable on tactical health of internal financial mechanics and CFO insights what jumps out as “easy wins” or materially urgent to either boost margins overall or improve/defend strategic positioning.
You pay for what you actually need, not what a generic package assumes.
We can deliver exceptional service because the scope and cost match reality.
There are no surprises three months in when we discover your books are more complex than expected. We can confidently assure this because we did the work up front to find the “big-whammies” before we entered into any agreements.
Transparency without price lists:
Even though we don't publish fixed prices, we're strive to be upfront and transparent about ranges:
Most monthly bookkeeping clients invest a flat-fee $350–$900/month (with a typical range of $350–$750 depending on complexity.)
Some clients also use CFO Flex hours when they need them. These run $85-$125/hour and can cover helping build internal infrastructure, customizing your company’s agreements & contracts ahead of legal review, de-risking, work to prep the business to sell, sales tax assistance, client relationship profit analysis, and more.
Budgetarily, you can quick-math your cleanup costs as 1.5× your monthly rate × months behind. Our cleanup projects are scoped with a cost-cap, this way there’s a solid ceiling on maximum cleanup cost. 50% Deposit, 50% upon completion. Cleanups tend to range $950- $3,500 for solo-preneurs and $2,500-$7,500 for small teams or e-commerce firms.
CFO workshops are fixed-cost deliverables ranging from $400–$2,500 depending on the workshop. Examples: Cashflow forecast set up, Service rate bench-marking, effective hourly rate analysis, and sale-readiness-diagnostic.
On our discovery call, we'll give you a narrower range based on the details you share with us. After our $300 diagnostic review (which credits toward your first invoice), you'll get a copy of your diagnostic and a firm quote with a detailed scope.
